ITER is a unique, first of a kind project that aims to demonstrate the technical and scientific feasibility of fusion energy.
Jacobs one of three partners making up the Consortium MOMENTUM (construction management-as-agent contractor) is project managing the construction and assembly of more than one million components in world’s largest fusion reactor.
As construction management-as-agent contractor, MOMENTUM is managing the construction and assembly of the first full-scale test reactor to include balance of plant and the Tokomak itself. Join us and play a part in the international effort to make fusion a viable source of almost limitless, carbon-free energy.
Jacobs is recruiting for a **Junior Workface Planner (F/H)** with **at least 3 years of experience** to work on the ITER Project near Aix-en-Provence, France.
He/She will be responsible for:
SEQUENCES PREPARATION and PLANNING REVIEW (Long term)
Anticipate, create, maintain and share installation sequences per area.
- Identify interfaces between systems in 3D model.
- Identify and report captive components to Project Services team.
- Interact with Integration Team to support clash detection.
- Challenge existing schedule links.
Ensure that safety and efficiency at the workface are considered in the planning process.
Liaise with Works Contractors to analyse planning considerations, ensure that co-activity is planned and understood, and optimize IWP schedule.
Interact with Project Services team to develop overall construction planning and coordinating with Project Services team Schedulers to verify construction readiness and prepare and optimise short-term look-ahead plans.
Based on Planners inputs, insure that risks of delays are suitably reported to line management.
Work with planners in order to align General Schedule (C-DWS) and workface planning.
Supports Construction Preparation planning liaising with the Construction Manager:
Share installation constraints in order to align engineering and construction priorities.
Participate to technical meetings to identify potential impacts on installation sequence.
WORKFACE AND CO-ACTIVITY PLANNING (Short term)
Prepare, present and publish coordination maps on monthly basis.
Work as operational pair with site coordinator to gather schedule inputs. Gather relevant information from various parties (supervisors, construction managers, contractors) in order to assess impact of installation progress on sequences and prepare weekly coordination slides.
Assist coordinator to ensure that critical key equipment movement across the work site does not affect the progress on site.
Support coordination between the work packages preparation, project services department and construction supervision to anticipate interfaces and co-activity issues.

- Oracle P6 Planning qualifications
- 3D model (CATIA)
- Knowledge in structuring project WBS
- Advanced Microsoft Office experience
