Attending Veterinarian

Cynbiose, an international Contract Research Organization located near Lyon, specializes in primate preclinical studies for the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology companies, and academic research laboratories. Our facilities and teams offer pharmacokinetic and toxicity studies, as well as efficacy studies on primates in various fields of human pathologies, infectious or otherwise. The company is steadily growing, with plans for development in innovative themes and an orientation towards international expansion.

**Main responsibilities**
- Ensure the health and welfare of animals, by carrying out regular assessments and identifying any indications of disease or distress
- Ensure appropriate management of medical treatments, including drug prescription, surgical procedures and post-operative care
- Perform veterinary medicine and surgery
- Assume responsibility for the monitoring of animals involved in scientific protocols, support the scientists in the interpretation of study results (e.g. clinical pathology)
- Support the company's AAALAC accreditation process and liaise with regulatory authorities (e.g. French local veterinary services)
- Represent and promote the Company by attending conferences, symposia or seminars, writing publications, etc.

**Required diploma**
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine obtained in a EU country or in Switzerland, opening the right to practice veterinary medicine in France in the private sector. This is a regulatory requirement.

**Profile**:

- Significant experience in the field of care of laboratory animals/have confirmed experience in medicine, surgery and anesthesia
- Proficient in English and/or French (minimum C1 level)
- Knowledge of European and international regulations relating to the use of laboratory animals
- A master or PhD in biology-related field is a plus
- Good interpersonal skills and ability for horizontal management

Salary according to profile, experience and diplomas.
