We are looking for an Engine Test Facilities Support Engineer to work at ESA’s HQ premises in the city of Paris, France.

**Tasks and Activities**:
The scope of work will include:

- Support STS-IF in the management and implementation of the Extraordinary Maintenance (EM) and Ordinary Maintenance (OM) of ESA-owned engine test facilities located in Europe (Vernon and Lampoldshausen) and in French Guiana (BEAP), including SEA (Systeme d’Exploitation Ariane).
- Implementing the agreements on maintenance and operations of ESA-owned engine test facilities, concluded between ESA and the industrial and public sector operators of test facilities.
- Establishing and maintaining a data base and multi-year planning relevant to the maintenance and operations of test facilities, coordinating the needs of test facilities users and in case of conflicting needs propose solutions to the Ariane Exploitation Programme Manager.
- Providing support to user programmes for all matters related with the creation, upgrade, maintenance, and operations of engine test facilities.
- Implementing initiatives for harmonisation of test management processes and organization between industrial users and test facility operators.
- Support the implementation of the FLAME project.
- Support STS-IVI in the Identification and Implementation of process improvements, state of the art, Industry 4.0 and Artificial Intelligence, machine learning concepts to be applied on ESA and AE owned Fixed Assets.

**Skills and Experience**:
The following skills and experience are mandatory:

- PhD or MSc Engineering from a recognized Institution of secondary studies (University, Ecole supérieure, etc.) or equivalent with 10 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of the space sector and its organization.
- Knowledge of industrial cost and schedule aspects.
- Knowledge of other technical domains with interfaces to own area of responsibility.
- Knowledge/Expertise of (serial) production and operations in an industrial setting.
- Excellent reporting and communication skills.
- Understanding of complex systems.
