**Position Overview**:
FlexAI is seeking a **brilliant and motivated Software Engineering Intern** to join our team in Paris. In this hybrid role, you’ll explore performance modeling beyond LLMs, build advanced system benchmarks, and contribute to the development of our frontend tools.

You’ll work alongside experts at the intersection of AI infrastructure, performance engineering, and user-facing analytics. If you’re passionate about systems, algorithmics, and performance — this is a unique opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow in a fast-paced AI startup environment.

**What you’ll do**:

- **
Model System Performance**: Work on mathematical and algorithmic models to characterize and predict performance across various AI workloads (beyond LLMs).
- ** Develop Benchmarking Tools**: Design and implement benchmarking pipelines to evaluate models, workloads, and infrastructure components.
- ** Contribute to Frontend Development**: Build user-facing components using **React**, delivering intuitive dashboards and benchmark visualization tools.
- ** Collaborate Across Teams**: Work closely with both backend and infrastructure engineers to ensure modeling and benchmarking results are actionable and integrated into product workflows.

**What you’ll need to be successful**:

- ** Final-year student, or 4th-year** from a top engineering school, ideally with a strong background in mathematics, algorithmics, and software engineering.
- ** Strong coding skills**, particularly in Python, React, and/or Linux environments.
- ** Solid understanding** of performance modeling, systems concepts, or interest in low-level metrics (e.g., latency, throughput, memory usage).
- ** Analytical mindset**, with the ability to reason mathematically and think in terms of performance tradeoffs.
- ** Autonomous and proactive**, with a passion for building robust and meaningful tools.
