Rolls-Royce Solutions France (formerly MTU France) is part of Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG, a technological leader in the manufacture of engines, propulsion systems and power distribution systems, owned by Rolls-Royce. The activities in France include the diesel, gas and hydrogen engines and propulsion and electrical generation systems, as well as battery storage solutions. We ensure the distribution of Rolls Royce solutions in France and French-speaking Africa. Customer satisfaction is our driving force and we are currently recruiting for our Mobile - Marine & Governmental Application Business Unit to strengthen our team, to continue to satisfy our customers

PURPOSE

The purpose of the role is to offer the most suitable & efficient solutions to our customers.

SCOPE OF ACTIVITIES
- Analysing the request for quotation (descriptions, technical notes, regulations) issued by our customers (shipyards, refit yards, operators and ship captains),
- Define with the sales engineer the strategy and prioritization of projects,
- If necessary, clarify the technical requirements with the customer,
- Define the most suitable technical solution for the sales offer based on the Rolls-Royce - mtu solution catalogue provided by the German based production facility, and integrating third party solutions as required,
- Maintain a constant relationship with the technical experts of the company in France and the production plant in Germany in order to enrich your knowledge of the solutions catalogue,
- Assisting the Sales Manager Marine during presentations of new Rolls-Royce - mtu solutions to our French and international customers,
- After receiving the order, follow the integration of the equipment sold (engines / gearboxes / monitoring and control system) and provide the necessary technical support to the customer until the commissioning of the mtu equipment, in liaison with the Rolls-Royce Solutions France Technical Support & After Sales teams.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To perform this position, there are main requirements:

- Master's in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on the transport sector (automotive, maritime) and/or with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the engine industry,
- General technical knowledge of engine combustion, thermic, fluid, electricity and electronic is required,
- Knowledge of naval architecture and naval propulsion systems is a real plus,
- Good interpersonal skills for dealing with our customers, the factory and suppliers,
- Fluent professional English (daily use),
- Fluent professional French (daily use),
- Good writing skills and excellent command of standard IT tools (knowledge of CAD software is a plus),
- Team spirit, very good adaptability, autonomy, initiative and ability to summarize are expected qualities for this position,
- Travel to be expected (France, Germany and French-speaking Africa occasionally),
- Work permit
