Media Platform Engineer

Sports video production is moving to the cloud. The Media Platform Team is at the heart of this transition, building, integrating and supporting media workflow systems that facilitate live video contribution/distribution and asset management in the cloud to support the content crews.
As part of the Media Platform Team, you will be working on building and supporting our Asset Management and Live Streaming systems.
This is a software engineering role, where a large part of an engineer’s time is spent writing code with the remainder on designing, architecting and evolving our systems in close cooperation with other HBS Teams.
The focus will be on advancing an existing asset management system based on Node.js and TypeScript running on AWS, as well as to create a new set of tools for managing live streaming resources in the cloud.
**Profile**
- Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3 or more years experience with web front-end development (ECMAScript/TypeScript and CSS3)
- Solid understanding of full web technology stack: RESTful services and client-side frameworks
- Experience building robust and accessible user interfaces on the web (React / TypeScript)
- Experience with event driven architecture (e.g. websockets)
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills to work effectively with people in different locations
**Location & Travel**
The job can be either based in our office in Paris, or remote. The team gathers in the Paris office every six weeks.

**Salary**: 30,000.00€ - 60,000.00€ per year
