INSEAD is looking for a skilled **Payroll Officer/Specialist**to join our HR team within the HR Support Service for a **12-month full-time contract**. This role is based at our Europe Campus in Fontainebleau and offers a hybrid work model, with three days on campus and two days remote.

**About the job**

As the Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing French payroll processes for over 600 employees within a dynamic international environment. As the team will be working on an upcoming payroll software migration, this role will oversee a range of administrative tasks such as issuing certificates, managing electronic records, and preparing payroll inputs and post-payroll reports. **Your role within the team**
- Create and update employee profiles within the payroll system.
- Collect, verify, and enter payroll variables (including overtime, time-off buybacks, special leave, etc.) and review pay slips
- Monitor and validate part-time leave; manage medical leave, including Horizon requests, CEGID entries, and tracking logs
- Track compensation for apprentices and interns
- Handle level 1 final settlements
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees
- Degree in Human Resources (Licence, Bachelor’s, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with French payroll
- Training in payroll management and processing techniques
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word and Excel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative team-oriented approach
- Highly organized and detail-focused, with strict adherence to procedural guidelines
- Familiarity with CEGID Payroll software is a plus
- Proficient in English
- Consistently deliver high-quality work and demonstrate reliability in performing day-to-day responsibilities
