We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join our team.
- You are a partner to the business, obsessed with turning legal and compliance challenges into business opportunities and revenue boosters

- You strive to ensure that our processes are compliant while streamlining new business legal closing thanks to a well-designed negotiation framework, combined with persuasive negotiation skills
- You will be the legal partner to the Sales and Customer Success teams and you will craft and implement our next legal templates and processes.

Responsibilities \uD83D\uDD27

You will:

- Negotiate our client-facing contractual documents, including Master services Agreements, Partner Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Privacy Policy
- Review and negotiate suppliers’ contracts in our best interest
- Collaborate closely with the Security & Compliance Officer on major topics such as data privacy, IT security, internal and suppliers audits and documentation
- Act as a trusted legal advisor, understanding how to balance risks and opportunities. You will provide sound advice to the management, business and revenue and other teams
- Conduct a permanent legal and regulatory watch and communicate on regulatory changes that are ought to impact our businesses
- Built the necessary processes, systems, and documentation to improve legal department processes and resources as well as ensure a smooth collaboration between CEO, external counsels and Sales teams
- Provide counsel and training on legal topics to our operational teams from the different departments on processes, compliance and new regulations with impacts on our business line, with a focus on privacy culture and legal risks mitigation
- Ensure the proper protection of our trademark and intellectual property
- Implement Data Protection Strategies, conduct Privacy Impact assessment, implement our data breach response plan
- Supervise and ensure that our processing of personal data complies with an evolving law as well as our contractual commitments
- Handle other project-based work within the scope of the legal office’s responsibilities on an as-needed basis.

What we are looking for? \uD83E\uDDE0
- Cross-border experience (EU-US) in the cloud and Software-as-a-Service industry
- US/EU experience negotiating and closing SaaS deals and other cloud services agreements
- Whilst the technical skills are obviously important, we have a great culture within the legal team and Prismic generally, so culture fit and personality are hugely important. We have a genuinely supportive and good natured environment, and we are keen to retain this
- Qualified lawyer with strong knowledge and/or previous experiences in the business and corporate law. Preferably with a previous experience providing legal advice and negotiating agreements
- You are seasoned with the data protection and privacy regulations including EU’s GDPR
- You will need experience with drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial contracts. Preferable to have some exposure to technology/software contracts, ideally experience with SaaS contracts specifically
- Some previous experience in direct-facing contracts negotiation and experience working directly with customers and internal sales teams are preferable
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- International experience is preferable
