The Retail Operations and Event Manager role is responsible for overseeing the EU daily operations within our retail partners activity while planning and executing high-quality instore activations that drive customer engagement, brand awareness, and revenue growth. This role involves optimizing operational efficiency and ensuring exceptional customer service. The Retail Operations and Event Manager will also collaborate with marketing, sales, and external vendors to deliver instore activations that align with the company’s goals. We are searching for a dynamic individual who will thrive in our fast paced environment. The success of this role is in the detail and leading with Luxury at the heart of everything we do. This role will involve working to strict deadlines which will require multi tasking with multiple projects and timelines. On occasion there may a requirement to work weekends or evenings depending on launch timings.
**You'll be;**
- Overseeing partner projects by ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of Jellycat activations, including inventory management, merchandising, and relationship management.
- Training retail staff to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operations.
- Monitoring inventory levels, collaborate with suppliers, and ensure timely restocking of products for activations.
- Maintaining high standards of customer service and ensure customers have a positive in-store experience. Every detail matters.
- Overseeing budgets, managing project spend and aftercare when applicable.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, health and safety standards.
- Planning events by organising, and executing showroom pop-ups for seasonal selling calendar and display piece roadshow across independents.
- Managing event budgets, negotiate with vendors, and ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining high event quality.
- Coordinating with vendors, external partners, and sponsors to ensure successful event execution.
- Overseeing all aspects of event execution, including logistics, setup, staffing, and breakdown, ensuring seamless operations.
- Conducting post-event evaluations, including customer feedback, financial performance, and recommendations for future improvements.
**You'll have;**
- Fluency in French and English
- Full Driving Licence and access to own car.
- 3-5 years of experience in retail management and/or event planning. Experience in a leadership role is a plus.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and manage staff.
- Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for delivering an outstanding retail and event experience in the luxury retail sector.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable presenting to leadership and negotiating with vendors and stakeholders.
- The ability to manage budgets, analyse sales data, and ensure financial targets are met.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to adapt and find creative solutions under pressure.
- Knowledge on Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with marketing tools like social media and CRM is a plus.
