**FMC is looking for its new Fungicides Laboratory Technician in its European R&D Center, Nambsheim, Alsace, France.**
The laboratory Technician will have the responsibility to implement laboratory R&D studies at FMC European Research and Development Center, for topics related to Plant Pathology. He/she support both Synthetics and Plant Health Portfolio, and will work in close collaboration with the related Investigator to set-up protocols, implement the experiments following local FMC safety rules, analyze the results and communicate the technical reports. He/she will actively collaborate with the other fungicide lab associate during critical laboratory tests stages, like spraying, inoculation or assessments and will be locally the main technical contact for maintenance of fungal strains as well as fungicide facilities used in biofungicide tests.

**Job Responsabilities**
In collaboration with the Fungicide & BioFungicide Principal Investigator, establish study protocols, implement tests, analyze data and prepare/communicate technical reports
Responsible of maintenance of fungal strains as well as facilities used in Plant Pathology studies
Represents Fungicide group during internal/customer Site visits based on request from manager
Update Safety Working Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures related to Plant Pathology work according to relevant timelines discussed with manager
Train and manage temporary staff for laboratory fungicide or biostimulant work
Upon request from fungicide field scientist and depending on program workload, could be asked to participate to annual review and implementation of Good Experimental Practices for field trials
He/she may be involved in the preparation and follow-up of contracts related to externalized studies.
**About You**
- Bachelor’s Degree in biology with at least 3 years of experience in laboratory experiments related to plant diseases
- Technical skills in plant pathology and/or microbiology
- Willingness to develop new protocols or improve existing ones
- Ability to work on multiple bioassays/tasks in parallel and in autonomy
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Good communication skills & good level of English (written & oral)
- Management of French language is highly desirable for better integration on the site and with colleagues
