**Senior Data Engineer | Global Quantitative Hedge Fund**

Our client is a global quantitative and systematic investment manager operating across all liquid asset classes. With a strong foundation in research, technology, and collaboration, they are constantly innovating to deliver high-quality returns to their investors.
As part of their continued growth, they are now hiring a **Data Platform Engineer** to help build and scale a global **Data Lakehouse solution** powering multiple trading desks.
**The Role**
You will play a pivotal role in:
- Designing and building scalable Data Lakehouse architecture in a high-performance, global trading environment
- Developing robust data pipelines in **Python**, leveraging cloud SDKs and modern data libraries
- Contributing to infrastructure design and deployment in **AWS**:
- Implementing **OLAP data models** capable of handling large-scale, high-concurrency workloads
- Optimizing cross-region database performance and ensuring data quality across critical workflows
- Building tailored data solutions in partnership with Quant and Trading teams
**About You**
- **5+ years of experience** building and scaling data platforms
- Strong command of **Python** and **SQL** (C++ experience is a plus)
- Experience working in **cloud environments**, ideally **AWS**:
- A structured and analytical approach to solving complex technical problems
- Ability to operate autonomously while thriving in a highly collaborative environment
- A genuine curiosity and eagerness to learn rapidly
- Experience in the finance or trading sector is highly desirable
The salary is negotiable for this role and based on experience.
