Financial Controller

You will join Shared Services Unit of Maizières campus which is ArcelorMittal's largest Research and Development site in the world and which is a key asset in Global R&D's organisation. It groups a mix of experienced researchers and young talented people from more than 30 nationalities working in result-driven projects.

As financial controller, you will report to ArcelorMittal Mazières Research CFO (Chief Financial Officer) and your missions will be:

- Perform financial reporting and control all aspects of accounting and finance operations
- Present financial performance in a timely and insightful manner to the CFO and management team
- Develop digital analytics and reporting to provide actionable insights to the business
- Develop a strong trusted relationships with the business stakeholders (Global R&D, shared accounting centre )
- Analyse deviations from forecasts, identify and qualify risks and opportunities for the business and make recommendations
- Identify and implement improvements linked to process of the perimeter and lead change
- Implement necessary actions following audits (internal and external)
- Complete monthly closing activities, including but not limited to reviewing and approving journal entries, reviewing account reconciliations, investigating unusual balances / transactions, reviewing financial statements, and completing closing checklists

In all the missions you will constantly interact with other functions in Maizières Finance-Accounting-Purchasing team, with Global R&D Finance team and with research centres of the site.

You will also support the digitalization projects to improve the current local process as well as reporting for the business, with a focus on financial KPI.

**Profile**:

- You hold a Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- You have a first experience working in controlling, auditing or accounting.
- You speak both French and English.
- You have good analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- You have strong reporting and presentation abilities, as well as IT skills (MS Excel, ERP use).
- Team spirit, efficiency and excellent level of communication are required.
- Understanding of Financial (P&L) Management, Forecasting & Budgeting is an asset.
