As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based solutions. Your expertise in AWS services, coupled with your understanding of good architecting practices, will be instrumental in ensuring that our systems are operable, maintainable, scalable, and secure. In addition, your knowledge of Cloudflare and New Relic will help us improve performance, monitoring, and security aspects of our infrastructure. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in raising the skill level of the team, fostering collaboration, and empowering team members to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement highly available and scalable cloud architectures on AWS, incorporating best practices, industry standards, and leveraging Cloudflare and New Relic for enhanced performance, monitoring, and security.
- Provide architectural guidance and support to development teams, enabling them to make informed decisions on technology selection, system design, and optimization.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of existing systems and propose cloud-based solutions to enhance performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency, utilizing Cloudflare and New Relic capabilities.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure to maximize resource utilization, minimize costs, and improve overall system performance, leveraging insights from New Relic monitoring and analytics.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in AWS services, Cloudflare, and New Relic, and assess their applicability to our organization's cloud architecture.
- Actively mentor and coach team members, sharing your expertise and promoting a culture of continuous learning and skill development.
- Foster collaboration and effective communication among team members and stakeholders, enabling knowledge sharing and cross-functional cooperation.
- Empower team members to take ownership of their work, encouraging autonomy and creativity in problem-solving.
- Drive initiatives to improve the skill level of the team, identify training needs, and facilitate training sessions or workshops on AWS, Cloudflare, New Relic, and other cloud-related topics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and communicate technical solutions effectively.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant domains are a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in architecting and implementing cloud solutions on AWS.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with AWS services, such as EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable, highly available, and secure cloud architectures that meet business requirements.
- Understanding of database technologies, including both SQL and NoSQL databases, their deployment, and operation.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices for cloud-based environments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or ArgoCD.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python and Terraform templates.
- Experience with Cloudflare, including its performance and security features, such as CDN, DDoS protection, and WAF.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts and tools, such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional.
