The ITER project brings together 35 countries in the construction of the largest Tokamak ever built This fusion device aims to demonstrate that "nuclear fusion" (_replicating the unlimited source of energy that powers the sun and the stars_) can be used as a large-scale, non-C02 emitting energy source to produce electricity. It is a joint project between the European Union, China, India, Japan, South Korea, the Russian Federation and the USA. The ITER project this is: - An experimental installation - The largest thermonuclear fusion facility in the world - A huge construction site based in the South of France (St Paul-Lez-Durance) - Up to 5,000 people employed at the height of construction activity - A multicultural and internationalenvironment - A logístical challenge and extraordinary engineering ECP has been an historical partner of the ITER project. **Role** We are looking for a **Cost Controller & Cost Estimator** (civil engineer background) on FIDIC contracts for ITER, based in Saint-Paul-lès-Durance close to Aix-en-Provence. - **Key duties & responsibilities**:_ - MTO from drawings and Estimation of material and Labor Costs - Budget estimating and forecasting based on alignment meeting with Project Planner on P6 Master Control Schedule - Update Terms Civil Contracts (TIC) for the End of Month reports on projects of various sizes - Providing comprehensive and accurate cost reporting based on historic and actual data - Validation of field progress, Invoicing follow up with contractors to ensure consistency with contract and payment milestones - Support to Contract Team in the change control process, and evaluate cost of changes request from contractors - Maintain Cash flow and cost forecasts reports for Project Leads and Managers - Identify and implement Cost-effective options and propose economic alternates for specified materials in order to ensure compliance with original estimate. - Close interface with others Project Teams (Engineering, Contract/Purchase, Construction..) to anticipate and mitigate all cost related issues - Prepare final cost reports and close out reports based on As-built drawings. Validated contractor’s final invoices. Involved in lessons learned sessions.You hold a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management or graduated from an Engineer school and have at least **7 years’ experience in Cost Control **(project environment). **Your civil engineering background will be a strong asset for the estimation part of the role.** You are fluent in English and also speak French. International experience managing Engineering & Construction cost control in a large scale project environment **Expert use of Excel.** You have executed projects in a highly regulated environment, preferably Nuclear.
