**Position**:
The Architectural** **Research & Development Project Manager will actively participate in the research and sourcing of vendors globally associated with retail architecture projects. He/She will be focusing on Soft Furnishing, Freestanding Furniture, Galleries, Interior Design finishes, wall units and façades development. This scope represents many individual vendors and requires coordinated approach to improve vendor reliability, quality & cost improvement.
The Research & Development Junior Project Manager will report directly to the** **Architectural** **Research & Development Manager**.**
**THE RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT PM WILL CONTRIBUTE TO**:
- Research & develop new interior deco finishes in collaboration with inhouse stakeholders (Dior senior management, design team and exterior vendors) - Identify new sourcing opportunities with a sustainable focus.
- Improve reliability performance to reduce or eliminate warrantable issues in the field.
- Ensure that the activities related to this position operate in accordance with any environmental policies and procedures.
- Technical & qualitative catalogue information is maintained up-to-date and readily accessible for the project teams, and external resources with regulated access control.
- The worldwide Millwork qualification process is shared with a second resource.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Identify and implement design improvement opportunities (functionality, design for manufacture, cost..)
- Manage one shared intern (+1 shared resource with Procurement) by providing clearly defined objectives and positively mentoring them to team success.
**Profile**:
- Minimum of 2 years of retail architecture or design experience inside a comparable international luxury brand, or similar architectural or construction management experience, including research & development functionalities.
- University Degree in Design, Interior Design or Architecture
- Computer skills: All Office programs, Adobe, AutoCAD 2D, Rhinoceros 3D or sketchup.
- Fluent English & French communication, both written and oral
- Excellent problem-solving skills & design finesse
- Excellent communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
- A true team player willing to roll up his/her sleeves and do what needs to be done to succeed.
