You'll work on both commodity and project level as a buyer support.
The aim is for you to learn with the buyer and then gain more responsibility.
Your main tasks and activities:

- Ensure the day-to-day management of the direct purchasing portfolios under your responsibility (management of order/invoice disputes/negotiations with suppliers/relations with internal customers, etc.).
- Collaborate with our local, regional or global counterparts and internal stakeholders to achieve the best results for Volvo in terms of cost, quality, delivery, technology while ensuring risk management and sustainability on our long-term contracts with our suppliers.
- Strengthen the competitiveness of the Volvo Group by understanding the business and market expectations of our suppliers.
- Manage and develop our supplier panel (categorization, segmentation, continuous performance evaluation...) while continuing to identify new suppliers in order to maintain the appropriate level of cooperation with our key suppliers.
- Negotiate to obtain optimal costs within your scope and manage Request for quotations.
- Contribute to the achievement of regional KPI targets.
- Interact as the main contact with all stakeholders. Prepare and submit KPI development axes with them.
- Identify and drive the sharing of best practices within the Volvo Group (participate in internal and external network to benchmark...).
- Support and deploy a purchasing strategy in line with your commodities.

We are looking for a one or two year contract in apprenticeship.
