**Role Overview**:
At Siena AI, we're on a mission to revolutionize customer experience with AI, and as our first Prompt Engineer, you'll be at the heart of this transformation. Your work will directly impact how our customers leverage AI to enhance their support functions and drive value, making every interaction smarter, more intuitive, and more empathic.

**What You'll Do at Siena AI**:

- Collaborate with our engineering and product teams to build complex prompt chains that handle a wide range of customer service scenarios, from simple queries to complex, multi-step tasks.
- Lead the optimization of AI prompts by establishing benchmarks, conducting A/B tests to refine prompt effectiveness, and implementing analysis tools to ensure performance.
- Engage with Customer Success and Product Development teams to understand customer service challenges and opportunities, translating these insights into AI prompts.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of prompt engineering methodologies and outcomes, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure prompt engineering initiatives are seamlessly integrated across solutions, enhancing functionality and user experience.

**Who You Are**:

- 3+ years of professional engineering experience, with proven experience in prompt design and a deep understanding of linguistic principles.
- Proficient in Python, you leverage your programming skills to develop prompt engineering solutions.
- Your expertise includes morphology, syntax, and semantics, enabling you to craft prompts that accurately interpret and handle a diverse set of tasks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills make you a valued partner in cross-functional projects, driving innovation in AI-powered customer service.
- You're known for your meticulous attention to detail and your ability to work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

**Nice to Have**:

- Experience in building and deploying AI Agents.
- A portfolio demonstrating successful implementations of prompt engineering in AI Agent contexts.
- You never worked with AI prompts in production environments.
- You don't like working directly with the founders.
