In the role as substation automation tendering manager for the Southern Europe region, you will be part of our Grid Automation Europe team within the Hitachi Energy Group. We operate as an international team and your home base would be in any of our offices in Madrid, Spain; Lisbon, Portugal; Milano, Italy; Paris, France; or Zagreb, Croatia.

**Your responsibilities**

You are responsible for leading an international team of tendering engineers who are responsible for creating and completing bids/estimations/quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements/budget to achieve both market competitiveness and high margin for the Company. The team operates within the substation automation market and handles a variety of opportunities within systems, products, and service.

In this managerial role your main responsibilities include staffing, people development and managerial support to the team to ensure:

- the creation of commercially, legally, and technically optimized and high-quality offers, based on the specifications of our customer.
- Definition of the scope of supply to be offered.
- Close cooperation with supply chain management to solicit quotations from subcontractors.
- Cost calculation estimations and determination of the sales price in cooperation with sales
- Timely bid and proposal management
- Support to sales during contract negotiation
- Preparation of documents for internal reviews and tender submission approvals

**Your profile**

Higher education (eg Bachelor or Master’s degree) in electrical engineering or alike.

Excellent understanding of substation automation solutions and basic know how about grid automation.

Good knowledge of the grid automation market

Previous experience in leading people, as a line manager or by leading projects or similar.

Strong understanding of tendering and commercial processes

Excellent command of English is mandatory, additional European languages would be advantageous.

Willingness to travel internationally, ca 10%
