Overview
Contribute to the support, development, and validation of products for the Hot Tapping and Plugging group by creating new and refine existing technologies in the oil and gas industry.
Key Responsibilities
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Develops new or customized product designs and improves existing technology under the direction of Technical Leads and Product Engineers.
- Performs design calculations, tolerance analysis, concept development or detail design.
- Authors or assists in the creation of product documents (e.g., build operating manuals).
- Produces technical deliverables (e.g., 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, test reports, analysis reports, etc.) for manufacturing, other Technical Leads, Product Engineers, and other necessary parties,
- Independently carries out component and subassembly design tasks and produces test plans for the designs.
- Assists with prototype assemblies and/or performs design verification tests.
- Oversees validation processes for new or custom products.
- Gains a working knowledge of all aspects of assigned technologies.
- Initiates and/or facilitates engineering change processes.
- Sets up and carries out component, subassembly, and assembly verification testing.
- Supports new or custom products through manufacturing, verification, and validation phases.
Your Profile
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience with solid modeling software
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with FEA software (simulation and ANSYS preferred)
- Fluent in English and French
