Sophia Antipolis, France Qualcomm Temps plein

**Company**: Qualcomm France S.A.R.L. **Job Area**: Interns Group, Interns Group > Interim Intern General Summary: **Brief**: The goal of the internship is to co-design hardware and firmware for post-quantum cryptography primitives. The process begins with a literature review of the chosen algorithm, followed by the development of efficient hardware and firmware implementations. **Background**: A world leader in smart mobile technologies, QUALCOMM (QCT) offers complete solutions that enable continuous innovation for today's smart connected devices. Our vast expertise in wireless technology, combined with our unique systems approach to developing solutions, puts QCT at the forefront of the rapidly expanding mobile industry. QCT offers solutions for CDMA, UMTS, GSM and LTE technologies, providing support for both 3G, 4G and now 5G networks and devices. Qualcomm also offers a broad portfolio of additional wired and wireless technologies for the mobile, networking, computing and consumer electronics product segments. All of our solutions and products are elegantly engineered for optimal performance and power consumption. Our system-on-chip solutions like Snapdragon bring together CPU, GPU, connectivity, security, multimedia and GPS technologies in a way that is redefining mobile possibilities for people everywhere. Because of its unsurpassed performance and capabilities, Snapdragon is enhancing the mobile experience and fueling an ever-expanding array of new connected device categories, ranging from smartphones to tablets to e-readers and beyond. Cryptography is crucial for privacy and security in our digital world, protecting sensitive information and ensuring trust. Advanced techniques like Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKP), and Multi-Party Computation (MPC) offer robust security against current and future threats. Crucially, with quantum computing, traditional methods may become obsolete, but PQC ensures security infrastructure remains secure. Implementation security is vital, as even robust algorithms can be compromised if not implemented securely. The aim of this internship is to work on such implementations, on innovative HW/SW platforms, composed of CPU cores and HW accelerators, and to optimize them according to various criteria, but also secure them against diverse attackers. **Required qualifications**: - Pursuing MS/PhD or engineering program in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields, - Knowledge in Cryptography. **Preferred qualifications**: - Experience in Cryptography, - Embedded software development experience, - CPU architecture, - Knowledge in SoC/IP designs, RTL Coding and Validation using High-level tools, - FPGA or Virtual Platform prototyping, - Excellent problem solving, self-driven and able to work with minimum supervision, - Proficiency in one or more developer skills: C, Verilog, System Verilog, Cadence, Synopsys (DC, PTSI, CDC), Mentor Graphic, Matlab, C, Perl Programming, Python. **Location**: Qualcomm France S.A.R.L.; 1240 Route des Dolines; Buropolis 3; Valbonne Sophia-Antipolis, 06560 (France) **Duration**: 6 months Qualcomm expects its employees to abide by all applicable policies and procedures, including but not limited to security and other requirements regarding protection of Company confidential information and other confidential and/or proprietary information, to the extent those requirements are permissible under applicable law.
