**Your role**

You’ll be joining as a **Data Engineer** in the _Finance Intelligence_ team under the Finance department. You’ll lead the architecture, development, and maintenance of our internal systems such as accounting ETL as well as the establishment of a complete, reliable, and timely financial data flow.

**Your responsibilities**

In this role you’ll:

- Analyze different sources of raw data and build an integrated pipeline to automate the data transmission and transformation;
- Be the PoC of the Finance data domain and take responsibility for any data requirements from the data team.
- Liaising with data consumers to elucidate the requirements for each project and understand any constraints/restrictions from upstream;
- Collaborate with the data team on several projects;
- Reformulating existing frameworks to optimize their functioning.

**Within 1 month you'll**:

- Design the architecture of Finance ETL and build the infrastructure.

**Within 3 months you'll**:

- Build the MVP0 of Finance ETL and roll it out.

**Within 6 months you'll**:

- Own the Finance ETL;
- Be the guru of Finance data.

**Your qualifications**

What we need to see:

- Previous experience as a data engineer/software developer or in a similar role;
- Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques;
- Expert proficiency in Python / C++ / Java;
- Hands-on experience with SQL database design;
- Hands-on experience with ETL establishment and maintenance;
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects;
- Familiar with data software such as Big Query, Airflow, Metabase, etc;
- A basic understanding of Finance/Accounting;
- Past experience with accounting software;
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or a similar field; a Master’s is a plus.

What we’d love to see:

- Very specific experience: eg. has built an accounting ETL from scratch; knows Netsuite REST API, etc;
- Data engineering certification (e.g IBM Certified Data Engineer) is a plus;
- Fintech background would be a bonus;
- Experience with credit products would be a bonus.

**Your tool stack**

Mac. Chrome. EvenWindows. Choose the hardware that helps you work best. We’ll also support whatever software you need. From Bigquery to Airflow and everything if necessary.
