d2m Services is seeking an experienced **HVAC Engineer**specializing in the maritime sector for a leading shipowner.
This key position is focused on the upstream phase of engineering projects, with a strong involvement in the design, development, and integration of new HVAC technologies, ensuring technical optimization and regulatory compliance of systems throughout the vessel's lifecycle.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Lead the engineering efforts in HVAC system development, collaborating with design teams, suppliers, and marine operations to integrate innovative HVAC solutions into shipbuilding projects.
- Conduct in-depth technical studies and provide design solutions for HVAC systems, ensuring alignment with operational requirements and industry standards.
- Ensure HVAC system designs comply with international maritime regulations (SOLAS, IMO, etc.) and evaluate the integration of new technologies into maritime projects.
- Collaborate with shipyards and design teams to review, approve, and optimize HVAC system designs, ensuring performance and compliance with specifications.
- Manage lifecycle costs (LCC) of HVAC systems, optimizing costs from design to operation to maximize value and operational efficiency.
- Participate in inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) to ensure HVAC systems meet technical specifications and performance requirements.
- Incorporate innovations and lessons learned from past projects into future designs to drive continuous improvement in HVAC system performance.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- **Experience**: Proven expertise in HVAC system design and integration within the maritime sector.
- **Key Skills**:
- Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations (SOLAS, IMO).
- Proficiency in HVAC design software and engineering tools.
- Ability to manage complex engineering projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
