**Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino**

Located on the southwest coast of the Peloponnese, one of the most unspoiled and breath-taking landscapes in the Mediterranean, and 45 minutes’ drive from Kalamata International Airport.

The beachfront resort is part of the sustainable resort destination of Costa Navarino, a well-established tourism destination which includes 3 other resorts. It comprises of 99 suites and villas, all with outdoor terraces and sea views, along with seven restaurants and bars.

**Scope of Position**:
The Assistant Restaurant Manager will assist the Outlet Manager in the leadership of the service team of the designated outlet, while driving service excellence and delivering business objectives and financial success.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Supports the Restaurant Manager in all operational and administrative aspects, is able to prioritize the required level of engagement in both areas, depending on the business volumes and other related parameters, and takes charge of the outlet and the department in his/her absence.
- Enforces and monitors that all operational and quality standards are in place at all times.
- Creates and maintains a great synergy between to assure maximum efficiency.
- Supports the Restaurant Manager to supervise the side duty schedules for all positions, ensures compliance and follows through.
- Supports the Restaurant Manager to supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of the outlet at all times as assigned, carries out monthly or more frequent walk-throughs with the respective engineering and housekeeping colleagues and follows up accordingly on the produced reports to achieve an immaculate environment.
- Oversees the daily operation of the outlet and manages shifts effectively to assure a smooth and effective overall operation.
- Maintains a good relationship and steady communication with the Chef de Cuisine and his team, particularly during operation hours.
- Ensures that reservations are managed well within the Restaurant and that seating capacities are effectively maximized.

**Qualifications / Experience**:

- EU passport or Residence Permit is mandatory in order to work in Greece.
- Previous relevant experience.
- Local and international food and beverage awareness.
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
- Reading, writing and oral proficiency in Greek is preferred.
- Experience in the administration of Food and Beverage promotions.
- Experience in performance management.
