Head Housekeeper/governess

Full-time Live-in Head Housekeeper/Governess (M/F) job offer in St Rémy de Provence, France

Our UHNW clients are looking for a versatile and experienced **live-in Head Housekeeper/Governess (M/F)** who will be responsible for maintaining the immaculate interior of their property to very high standards.

The position is located near **St Rémy de Provence (13)** and includes accommodation. This is a permanent position starting in December 2024.

Dogs will be present during the owners' stays.

**Responsibilities**:

- Be responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of all interior spaces of the property buildings, including furniture and artwork.
- Ensure that the estate is always ready for the family’s visit.
- The housekeeper may work alone or lead a very small team during the owners' vacations and stays.
- Be in charge of caring for the household and family linen according to the highest standards (laundry with specific equipment).
- Prepare and maintain all bedrooms, reception rooms, and service areas before, during, and after visits.
- Be able to update and maintain inventories of household linens and keep accurate records of expenses.
- Perform deep cleaning routines during the quieter winter months, when time allows.
- Create and implement a housekeeping manual and maintenance schedule to ensure that everything is taken care of and maintained.
- Provide monthly written reports to the owner and maintain regular communication with their office.
- Work closely and collaboratively with the caretaker/factotum H/F on maintenance and repair schedules, security, property access, and with the head gardener for seasonal products and floral decoration.
- Oversee contractors working inside the buildings with the caretaker H/F.
- Prepare and serve family meals when necessary.
- Collaborate with other property staff (Factotum, Gardener, and occasional housekeeper M/F during the owners' stays).

**Requirements**:

- M/F, with at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- A person capable of performing efficient, high-quality work to meet high standards.
- Attention to detail and commitment to doing the job well.
- Positive, enthusiastic attitude, with self-confidence.
- Highly autonomous, with strong organizational skills.
- Honest, reliable, and of impeccable integrity.
- Knowledge of cooking.
- A trustworthy individual who can guarantee complete discretion and confidentiality to the employers.
- Fluency in both French AND English or German is a plus.
- Valid driving license (Category B).

Work conditions
- Job Title: Live-in Head-Housekeeper/Governess (M/F).
- Position Start Date: December 2024.
- Location: Near St Rémy de Provence (13).
- Contract: Permanent (CDI).
- Working Hours: Full-time, 35 hours/week.
- Flexibility Required: Availability when the owners are present.
- Salary:€3,000 net/month, depending on experience.
- Accommodation: The position includes an accommodation on the property, suitable for a single person or couple (2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom).

Pay: 2,800.00€ - 3,000.00€ per month
