The Business: The Team: Battery Power Solution (BPS) Team is primarily focused on PMIC and hybrid mixed signal / power developments, for High-End / High-Volume electronic devices, such as Smartphones, Tablets and Consumer Accessories. BPS Sophia-Antipolis Team is expanding its focus in Power Solutions, across a broad range of IC engineering profiles and levels of experience, including Analog Designer, Digital Designer, Mixed-Signal Designer, Verification Engineer, Validation Engineer and Layout Designer. **Responsibilities**: - Design, develop and validate embedded firmware and low-level system software for ICs and products targeting USB-C Power Delivery - Understand sub-system requirements and Functional Safety mechanisms, and validate IC/system operation - Test and debug embedded firmware on FPGA and ICs using test equipment and test automation - Develop test codes/scripts for logical and functional test of the software - Deliver quality embedded system firmware with clear and exhaustive documentation - Follow coding standard and code documentation requirements - Participate actively in code reviews - Understand power management, USB-C and Power Delivery. Become knowledgeable & develop competence in USB-C system. - Work with Analog, Digital and System Designers, Product definers and Applications Engineers, and other Company software team members Minimum Qualifications: - Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field and 2 years of work experience in Software Engineering, or related occupation. Foreign equivalents accepted. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, experience or training. Required Qualifications & Experience: - Strong C/assembly programming skills - Experience with 16/32 bits embedded microcontroller (ARM, Risc-V, STM) - Experience with embedded platforms, software, frameworks and embedded software development paradigms - Working experience with peripheral driver coding (I2C, SPI, JTAG,) is an asset - Knowledge of static analysis tools (Coverity) or MISRA C is a plus - Experience with SCM tools (GIT, SVN, Clearcase, Perforce, etc.) - Hands-on experience with lab equipment (i.e., oscilloscopes, multimeters, electronic loads) - Debugging circuits and software, serial protocols, timers and other microcontroller-based peripherals - System and digital circuit design - Interest/curiosity in analog design and mixed-signal circuit - Ability to interact effectively with customers - Ability to develop, document, rationalize and present system requirements to a diverse audience of engineers - Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects and set priorities to deliver on schedule - Team player, fluent in English, very good oral and written communications skills Why You Will Like Working At ADI: - We place great value on individual judgment - We allow our employees the freedom to explore new ideas and the autonomy to determine how to best achieve business goals and objectives - We emphasize professional development and mentoring - Above all, we recognize that the personal goals of our employees and the company’s goals are closely related and must support each other Pay Rate Type: Salary Relocation Assistance Offered: Yes Visa Sponsorship Offered: Yes - Travel: Yes, < 10% - For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
