**Position Summary**

The onsite Supply Chain Manager plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the procurement, repair, and logístical functions required to support heavy maintenance checks, aircraft acquisitions, and modification programs. This position ensures that all materials, components, and parts are procured, delivered, and managed in alignment with Metrea standards, regulatory requirements, and operational timelines. By collaborating with OEMs, component repair facilities, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, the representative guarantees smooth logístical operations and material availability, contributing to the overall operational readiness and efficiency of the fleet.

**Role and Responsibilities**

**Heavy Maintenance Material Management**:

- Oversee material provisioning and replenishment for heavy maintenance, ensuring parts availability despite supply chain challenges.
- Convert maintenance plans into detailed material order schedules with engineering and technical teams.

**Procurement and Vendor Management**:

- Manage procurement of parts and materials, sourcing from niche suppliers for legacy and missionized aircraft.
- Negotiate terms and establish vendor partnerships, especially for repairs and long-term service agreements.

**Logistics Coordination & inventory management**
- Coordinate material transport, storage, and delivery, tracking shipments to meet maintenance schedules.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and manage claims for lost or damaged goods.

**Repair and Overhaul Support**:

- Administer repair orders, ensuring timely component return, often using unconventional repair methods.
- Handle warranty claims and exchanges, minimizing downtime and optimizing costs.

**Compliance and Airworthiness**:

- Ensure materials comply with regulatory and airworthiness standards, maintaining required quality documentation.

**Contract and Invoice Management**:

- Approve invoices and establish credit terms, ensuring accurate billing and timely payments.

**Process Improvement and Reporting**:

- Continuously improve supply chain processes, reducing costs and enhancing material support efficiency.
- Report on procurement and logistics, identifying risks and mitigation strategies.

**AOG Support**:

- Provide urgent material support in AOG situations, using creative sourcing to reduce aircraft downtime.

**Supply Chain Strategy and Risk Management**:

- Identify ways to improve material availability, reduce lead times, and manage supply chain disruptions.

**Vendor Relationship Management**:

- Maintain strong vendor relationships, evaluating performance and resolving issues to ensure consistent supply chain support.

**Skills and Experience**
- Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, aviation, or comparative industry experience
- Experience:

- 10+ years of experience in aviation supply chain roles.
- 5+ years of as onsite supply chain representative for Aircraft Lessors and/or Airlines
- Experience managing supply chain functions in support of heavy maintenance, modification programs, or similar technical projects.
- Familiarity with working in or alongside MRO facilities.
- Proficiencies:

- In-depth understanding of aviation parts provisioning, repair processes, and logistics operations.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards, particularly FAA, EASA, and Part 145 regulations.
- Proficiency in procurement and inventory management software, as well as ERP systems.
- Familiarity with international aviation regulations and standards, especially those related to aircraft maintenance, modifications, and airworthiness.
- In-depth understanding of FAA regulations, standards, and certification processes, would be advantageous.
- Competencies:

- Problem-solving skills, particularly in addressing logístical and supply chain challenges in time-sensitive situations.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in using airworthiness and maintenance management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal teams, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
- Communication:

- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
