About the Role:
The Affinity & Programmes Business (APB) Operations and Support Analyst will support the wider team in Spain with the development and management of our Delegated Underwriting business. The wider team includes the APB Underwriting Performance & Governance Manager, APB Operations Manager, the General Manager for Spain/Sponsoring Underwriter and European Distribution Team local members.

The role will coordinate and manage the performance monitoring of the existing APB portfolio in Spain and Portugal, across premium bookings and claims activity to identify any adverse trends in underlying profitability.

In addition, the role will manage the new business onboarding and the renewal processes.
- The APB Operations and Support role will have a direct reporting line into the APB Operations Manager for Europe.

About the Department & Team:
Affinity and Programme Business (APB) is a centralised function in the LSM Europe region that specialises in Delegated Underwriting. The team are located across all of our key countries and has responsibility for developing and centralising underwriting strategy, governance, distribution, service and operations and provides LSM Europe with a consistent capability and enhanced approach to delegated underwriting, coverholder and MGA’s.

APB is one of the most important 5 year strategic ambitions of LSM Europe. This role is to provide full holistic oversight, co-ordination and support across all functions and associated processes, procedures, controls and systems necessary to facilitate efficient and effective management and monitoring of APB business.

In context, Liberty in Europe plan to grow APB to more than USD170m GWP over the next 5 years with defined profitability ratios for ROE and PTOI.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work alongside France Country Manager, Distribution and Underwriting to identify and develop new business opportunities with both existing and new partners.
- Keep up to date with market developments, particularly those that relate to APB.
- Supporting the APB Underwriting Manager in analysing the business, preparing the case file and facilitating the LSM due diligence and approval processes for APB relationships.
- Support the APB Operations Manager, local operations and/or offshore partners with reviewing and validating premium, risk and claims bordereau; ensuring bookings and credit control are accurate and within expected timescales, raise or escalate issues and problems.
- Portfolio management and oversight, specifically ensuring all coverholders are up to date with premium and claims reporting, summarising and presenting key performance metrics to the APB Management Team and wider LSM Europe stakeholders.
- Own and manage the renewal diary and process, ensuring that all renewals are started in advance of notice of cancellation periods. Monitor and coordinate the renewal requirements including, but not limited to, Round Table scheduling, due diligence, underwriting and performance analysis.
- Support the APB Management Team with Quarterly Business Reviews (preparation of the deck, meeting notes, actions follow up)
- Support to the APB Management Team with reporting requirements to various executive and management committees.
- Monitor and coordinate external audits with APB Ops & Support Managers and APB Underwriting Manager.
- Managing special projects as and when required.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and seek solutions through change or modification of processes and procedures and manage the implementation of new models with relevant stakeholders.
- Provide a focal point of contact to your local colleagues in coordinating, managing and working closely with them to ensure APB processes are fully understood and adopted and queries are resolved.

Skills and Experience:

- Knowledge and experience in the French Insurance Markets in APB (affinity, facility, scheme, portfolio solutions and binder) business
