We are looking for our new **R&D Technician M/F/X**.**

Within the Continental Europe McCain R&D Team, you will support the design of new products or improved existing products through all kitchen activities.

You will play a pivotal role in supporting culinary chef and food project developers with cooking tests, several different analysis, kitchen, pilot and plants trials testing’s, sensory tasting organization, specification data entry on potatoes or appetizers.

You will be part of the Research & Development team and report to the Senior Innovation Chef. Your main office will be in **Villeneuve-d’Ascq, France**. Occasional travels within France and Europe for customer visits or team meetings are required.

**Key responsibilities**:

- In charge of kitchen tests, you support the organization of kitchen, pilot and trial tests in partnership with project developers
- You support preparations of pilots and trials testing’s; you make sure it is correctly documented.
- You define cooking instructions for optimal product conditions. You organize internal sensorial tastings.
- Thanks to your technical expertise you asses good product cooking time, support competition assessment: performance evaluation of the product, role of the different equipment, etc.
- You closely work with suppliers in order to be a culinary pilar: creativity / database of ingredients and equipment.
- You are aware of new trends by doing competition watch, participating to food show, etc.
- You are fully involved in new product presentations and food show supporting our Culinary Chef with sampling, any logistics around tasting session, presentation and training. You are supporting commercial and marketing request by doing product performance test, photo shooting brief, etc.
- You are in charge of entering data into PLM system and to maintain the quality and accuracy of data.
- You lead the setup of HACCP within R&D and you ensure that all BOP are in place and respected.

**Qualifications**:

- You have a first experience in food science or technology, with experience & passion for R&D, understand R&D processes
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization. You are fluent in French; English is a must.
- You have a strong team spirit; you are proactive & curious.
- You are able to handle multiple tasks.
- You have a creative mindset and like to innovate.
- You know how to adjust technical knowledge to products variety.
- You are well organized to cook multiple products following the protocol and on time.
