Our department, **Combustion and Emission Contol (CEC)**, is responsible for the development of combustion and EATS systems for Volvo Group’s products on Medium Duty engine platform.
We develop hardware as well as the features and functionalities. We are accountable for the lifecycle management of our products, from advanced engineering, through product development into the maintenance phase.

**The hardware team** contributes to this development by collaborating with the other teams/functions by developing together with suppliers engine components like fuel injection equipment, air & gas and exhaust aftertreatments systems.

- Work together with a component responsible
- Develop new components (requirements, validation plan, industrialization)
- Define solutions / upgrades / alternatives to solve current quality issues
- Work together with suppliers, purchasing, industrial and aftermarket teams
- Capture, compile and share knowledge with other sites, Sweden, USA, India and Brazil;
- Propose solution to improve our system and way of working;
- Adapt yourself to changes and develop performance continuously;
- Cook great breakfast on our Thursday morning “FIKA”.
