**Job Description**:

- Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly financial statement close process for the EU region
- Review the monthly management accounts for accuracy and Ensure the reconciliation of monthly figures to Netsuite
- Manage the submissions of quarterly VAT and FCA returns for the UK
- Manage the submissions of all other regulatory, accounting and tax filing requirements for entities across EU
- Lead and oversee the annual statutory audit process
- Manage the preparation and submission of the annual financial statements
- Ensure the reconciliation of the group’s intercompany balances
- Document and improve policies and processes for accuracy, efficiency and internal financial controls
- Manage expense reimbursements and policy for the region
- Key contact for financial and accounting queries in the region
- Lead and mentor a team of 4 direct reports varying in experience
- Support the team with ad hoc finance projects
- Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- 3-5+ years post qualified experience
- Crypto/financial services/tech start-up experience preferred
- Strong understanding of IFRS, UK GAAP and accounting requirements in EU
- Ability to adapt quickly and work in a deadline driven environment
- Experience managing and developing a small team
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Previous ERP systems experience (Netsuite) is desirable but not essential
