The Digital Innovation department develops cutting-edge scientific software and digital user-centric technologies to answer each client unique challenges and needs. It is connecting to a large ecosystem of Start-ups & University.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a passionate scientific computing engineer to work on advanced computational models, numerical simulations and mathematical algorithms development.

As part of a multi-disciplinary team gathering scientists in different fields, your key responsibilities will include
- Design, implement, and optimize mathematical algorithms to solve complex problems in the field of optics
- Contribute to the design and development of high-performance computing software, ensuring compatibility with various computational architectures (e.g., multi-core CPUs, GPUs, clusters).
- Develop and run large-scale simulations to model eye and lens system, ensuring accuracy and computational efficiency.
- Analyze large datasets generated from simulations, develop automated tools for data processing, and extract meaningful insights.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including vision science researchers, optical engineers, and IT to integrate computational tools into larger workflows.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Graduate of an Engineering School or Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field, you have a first experience in software development, ideally gained in the medical device field. A PhD is a plus.

**Required Skills**:
Strong background in applied mathematics and numerical optimization

Strong proficiency in C++ and Python

Experience with numerical methods, optimization algorithms, and scientific libraries (e.g., NumPy, SciPy, ).

Familiarity with parallel computing and high-performance computing (HPC) environments.

Problem-Solving: Ability to tackle complex problems, with a solid understanding of mathematical modeling and numerical analysis.

Demonstrated ability to meaningfully contribute to industrial software development projects (specifications, development, validation, documentation, software versioning, revision control )

Natural curiosity, proactivity and autonomy is mandatory

Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

English fluency is required. French and/or Italian is a plus
