As an ESG Strategist, you will report to the Head of Sustainability for Prime, and you will be part of AXA IM PRIME business unit.

AXA IM Prime is a Private Market Enabler and Hedge Funds platform offering diversified sources of private market returns across private equity, infrastructure equity, private debt, and hedge funds. With €30 billion of alternative investments under management and a team of seasoned investment professionals committed to proactive ESG and strict risk management criteria, AXA IM Prime is committed to transparency and reliability. The company manages €5 billion of commitments annually over the next three years and has 40+ employees across three offices.

Overall, the role focuses on promoting and implementing ESG practices within AXA IM PRIME, including governance, strategy development, policy implementation, product integration, and acting as an ESG ambassador.

Your role and responsibilities will include:
Support AXA IM PRIME's ESG governance:
Contribute to setting up an ESG Committee and organizing internal workshops to implement the ESG strategy.
Collaborate with ESG champions in different business units to ensure consistent implementation.
Foster collaboration with ESG leaders within AXA Group/AXA IM and leverage existing expertise.
Support the Head of Sustainability in their membership of AXA IM's Strategic Sustainability Committee.
Stay updated on ESG regulatory requirements and collaborate with legal and compliance teams.
Establish a market intelligence process to identify credible and innovative GPs (General Partners) and Funds in the ESG space.

Develop and implement an ESG strategy for AXA PRIME:
Support the development of an ESG integration strategy aligned with AXA's RI (Responsible Investment) ambition and commitments.
Define and implement specific ESG processes for different verticals, including integrating ESG into due diligence and monitoring.
Contribute to the creation of ESG due diligence processes and assessment scorecards for selecting and monitoring GPs and portfolios.
Assist in defining ESG KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and targets for each vertical.
Contribute to the ESG alert/escalation process for GPs and funds.
Provide ESG services to the GPs in which PRIME is an equity investor.

Develop and implement specific ESG policies for AXA PRIME:
Support the Head of Sustainability and management team in defining and implementing climate, biodiversity, and human rights/DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) policies.
Ensure these policies are integrated into PRIME's internal processes, including GP and portfolio selection and monitoring.
Maintain expertise on relevant ESG topics and emerging trends to inform PRIME's ESG strategy.

Support the integration of ESG in PRIME's product definition, marketing, and reporting:
Assist in creating a differentiated product range with a strong ESG positioning.
Contribute to establishing an ESG reporting framework for PRIME products and as a GP, including data collection and engagement with GPs.
Support communication on PRIME's ESG performance and ensure consistency in ESG targets.
Understand and anticipate LPs' (Limited Partners) expectations.

Be an internal and external ESG ambassador:
Support the Head of Sustainability in representing AXA IM PRIME internally and externally on ESG topics.
Assist in pitching to new LPs and onboarding them with PRIME products for ESG objectives and reporting.
Contribute to collecting third-party fund commitments for PRIME's products.
Help maintain and enhance PRIME's ESG network of GPs, partners, and LPs.
Support team briefings and education on ESG developments, external lobbying, and policy advocacy.
Collaborate to represent AXA IM PRIME in relevant industry forums.
Contribute to publications and support media inquiries and speaking engagements.
These responsibilities focus on promoting and implementing ESG practices within AXA IM PRIME, ensuring compliance, developing policies, integrating ESG considerations into product offerings, and acting as an ESG ambassador both internally and externally.
