SOC Physical Design Implementation Engineer

YOUR FUTURE JOB
- As a Physical Design Engineer at Melexis, you will be a key person in the release of the digital part of Melexis integrated circuits. Our mixed signal circuits are developed mainly for the automotive market on CMOS processes from 350 nm to 22 nm. You will take the complete ownership of all back-end activities for some of our circuits but also be a major contributor to the backend flow.
- More specifically, you will
- Use and Challenge our internal flow definition and automation, insure smooth interface of front-end and back-end flows
- Coordinate release to production for 4 to 6 circuits per year
- Ensure that the technical and quality targets of the product and process development are achieved
- Make your own contribution to the working team in such a way that the project is conducted within the defined framework
- Provide a clear and detailed documentation of your deliveries
- Participate to design reviews
- Support the Development team with customer return analysis
- Report directly to our Backend Team Lead based in Grasse/Sophia Antipolis
- Participating on different RTL2GDS flow deployment topics

YOUR PROFILE
- You have an engineering PhD or master degree in microelectronics, and you have at least 10 years of relevant working experience.
- You have built expertise in: Partitioning (Virtuoso), Synthesis (Genius/RTL), Place and Route (Innovus/FirstEncounter/ICCx), STA (Tempus/PrimeTime) modelling OCV and Xtalk effects, Equivalence Checking (Conformal), Design for Test, Power Analysis (Voltus/EPS), IR Drop, Electromigration and programming languages (TCL)
- You have good overview of design concepts and simulations, as well as an understanding of testability and the impact on the quality of the final product
- You have good communication skills in English, combined with a driving personality and a proactive attitude
