ABOUT SUPPLY

Global Supply is a multidiscipline function that makes the right product available at the right time, at the right cost and in the right quality.
The Supply function is an umbrella for all activities across planning, making and delivering of the products and has a special focus on the Market facing through the Market Supply function. A key priority in Supply is the efficient and rapid introduction of new products. The areas of lifecycle management and initiative execution overlook the entire process of change management including sizing of new initiatives, portfolio management and the cost associated with the renewal of the product life cycle.

THE ROLE

The Global Prestige Demand Planning Director plays an instrumental role in the overall global Prestige demand reasonability & sufficiency.
The GDP leads the brand S&OP’s, supports the innovation sizing/forecasting in collaboration with LCM, innovation & brand teams, and coordinates the giftset forecast collection in Prometheus.
The GDP leader leads the AOP/PLAN exercise as well and coordinates the different teams to deliver the most complete forecast to enable the manufacturing/logistic forecast plan.
Finally, the GDP leader monitors Demand KPI’s, manages global improvement projects/interventions and build the required capability plans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

Divisional S&OP/Forecast Reasonability and Sufficiency
1. Lead brand S&OP’s (post BU submission) to inform/influence global brand marketing and trade marketing teams on house demand reasonability and trigger interventions in markets
2. Provide input and message tracks for the regional/global S&OP meetings
3. Ensure overall reasonability of sales forecasts for the division and individual houses
4. Develop and retain an in depth understanding of the 18-month rolling forecast for the division with market trends, business targets & key innovation building blocks (at house/product level).
5. Provide forecast reasonability recommendations to regional S&OP leaders for BU discussion
6. Perform some interventions/work with specific BUs as aligned with regional S&OP Leader
7. Represent the divisional demand team in the Weekly Supply Review and the Monthly Hub Performance Review
8. Own output S&OP and demand planning measures and consolidate root causing for key measures at division level (SPP1/MAPE90) + action plan by house
9. Lead divisional action plan to improve product mix predictability and an appropriate level of forecast
10. Lead and consolidate the global Non Saleables forecast, incl. eMB ownership

Initiative and giftset sizing & forecast implementation
1. Collaborate with lifecycle to align and validate initiative sizing
2. For one shot/limited edition/gift sets, coordinate with global brand teams and place in JDA an operational demand in JDA until BUs are able to place demand locally and lead the BU giftset forecast collection through Prometheus
3. Collaborate with the innovation team to align and monitor innovation forecast and performance:
4. Participate in Initiative Deployment Review, take challenges from the meeting to link back to S&OP

Plan/AOP updates
1. Build next FY demand projection for division with validated sourcing plan and present results to global planning and Go-To-Market SVP’s + CSCO/CFO/CCO/CMO for validation
2. Connect with LCM (new launches not yet in JDA + discontinuation plan) and Brands Finance (Strat Plan) to obtain all relevant building blocks for the divisional demand plan

Demand Capability building
1. Own the global demand planning / S&OP improvement action plan
2. Work with the demand planning community to identify needs and delivery training
3. Manage improvement projects (e.g. process, tools, systems)

KPIs
1. Sales Plan Performance (SPP1/SPP3) measuring overall bias for relevant sub-divisions and houses
2. Forecast Accuracy (MAPE90) measuring mix accuracy for relevant sub-divisions and houses
3. Long range forecasting (L9M)
4. Gap analysis and action plans in place and on track for key metrics

- Strong understanding and experience of the Demand & S&OP processes including key metrics
- Strong analytical skills including good working knowledge of Excel and company demand planning software (JDA, MFR)
- Passion for process standardization and continuous improvement
- Fluent in English
- Excellent business communication skills - written and verbal
