The Opportunity

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Software Engineer Intern to join our core technologies’ team dedicated to mesh processing based in Clermont Ferrand.
The core technology team produces software libraries to be integrated into projects and products at Adobe, for example in Substance Painter which is the leader among texture creation tool for 3D contents. You will be part of a small R&D team developing high performance libraries related to the mesh processing domain (e.g. mesh unwrapping) involving state of the art algorithms and C++ industrial and optimized code (e.g. multi-threading and vectorization). These libraries are integrated first into an internal UI software so that the features can be developed, tested and validated before envisioning any further integrations into other software.
What you'll Do
Develop and craft new features in collaboration with other developers and product owners
Contribute to our internal UI software and/or architecture and design high performance libraries
Investigate/fix bugs and performance issues
Review code and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback during code reviews
Participate in regular team discussions
What you'll need to succeed
Currently enrolled full time and pursuing a Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience required with an expected graduation date of September 2025 - December 2025
Ability to participate in a full-time internship between April and September.
Good computer science fundamentals
Good design, debugging and problem-solving skills
Good background in C++ and modern C++ (C++17)
Good understanding of object-oriented principles
Ability to work cooperatively with a small team
Ability to learn new technologies and to maintain a high degree of technical involvement
Experience with Qt and modern CMake is recommended
Knowledge of mesh processing (e.g. mesh data structures, mesh unwrapping) is a plus
Knowledge of math libraries (e.g. Eigen, Intel MKL) is a plus
Knowledge of linear algebra (e.g. sparse matrices, least square methods) is a plus
Knowledge of non-linear optimization (e.g. L-BFGS) is a plus
Knowledge of GPU and graphics API is a plus
Knowledge of multithreading concepts and patterns is a plus
Knowledge of vectorization concepts and patterns is a plus
**What to expect from the recruitment process**:
Our selection process typically consists of the stages as follows:
60 minute technical test
90 minutes technical interview
45 minutes softs-skills interview
