Avantra is looking to hire a new SAP BTP Automation and Observability Engineer._
- Avantra has an established SAP engineering team and, as part of our continued year-over-year growth, we are expanding our product’s capabilities in SAP BTP monitoring and automation. The right person will be our specialist for SAP BTP and will shape and design the product’s capabilities, specify features for development, and perform hands-on proof-of-concept development work._

- This role reports to the Head of SAP Engineering._

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Development of Monitoring Capability_
- _ Understand the typical problems faced by SAP BTP users and customers, what can go wrong and what should be checked._
- _Design and implement monitoring checks utilizing APIs and other technologies to collect and process data from SAP BTP._
- Development of Automation_
- _Develop and implement automation solutions to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance overall SAP processes._
- _Evaluate, recommend, and implement the most impactful automations for customers of SAP BTP._
- Collaboration and Communication_
- _ Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and system administrators to understand requirements and provide effective solutions._
- _Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business needs and automation capabilities._
- Continuous Improvement_
- _ Stay informed about the latest developments in SAP technologies, industry best practices, and automation tools._
- _Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes._

**Desired Experience**:

- SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) experience_
- _ Understanding of SAP BTP, how it is used in the market, and the problems that customers typically face in the operations and usage of BTP._
- _Technical knowledge of services in SAP BTP, potentially including Cloud Foundry, Kyma Runtime, ABAP Environment, SAP Integration Suite or SAP Build._
- SAP Application Expertise_
- _Experience in projects or operations roles in SAP software and for SAP customers_
- _Exposure to SAP operations software including SAP Cloud ALM._
- Programming and Development_
- _ Ability to learn new technologies and programming languages quickly, to analyze and design solutions across all capabilities of SAP BTP over time._
- _Programming and software development capability._

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP technology.
- Proven experience with SAP BTP and Cloud ALM.
- Background in implementing automation solutions within SAP environments.

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in SAP technologies and tools.
- Programming and software development.
- Quickly learn new programming languages, technologies and frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
