- **Mission**

Join our mission to learn about banking compliance through data-driven solutions at Qonto. As a Risk & Compliance Engineering Intern, you'll discover how we protect our 500,000+ customers while supporting our teams in making banking operations more efficient and secure.
- **Impact**

You will work closely with Jeremy, our Risk & Compliance Engineering Manager, joining a dynamic team of 3 engineers. Your work will directly support our Internal Control team in their daily operations and decision-making processes.

‍‍ **As a Risk & Compliance Engineering Intern at Qonto, you will**
- Learn to create SQL queries to help extract valuable data insights for internal control teams
- Support the team in maintaining and improving dashboards that track compliance metrics
- Work alongside experienced engineers to understand stakeholder needs
- Assist in documenting processes and findings
- Participate in team meetings and learn about fintech compliance

**About your future manager**

Your manager will be Jérémy Meliani, our Lead R&C Engineering.

**His path?** Jérémy Meliani has built an impressive career in data science and analytics. He is currently the Lead R&C Engineering at Qonto, where he focuses on developing models to detect terrorism financing. Before joining Qonto, Jérémy worked as a Lead Data Analyst at Payplug and Waripay, creating data solutions for various services such as fraud detection and marketing.

**What he can bring to the team?** Jérémy brings extensive experience in machine learning and data analytics. He has improved the efficiency of Financial Crime agents and ensured compliance with regulatory reports. Jérémy is skilled in conducting analyses for internal control and managing technical environments. He is committed to setting clear objectives and tracking performance, helping the team continuously improve and achieve excellence. Your manager comes to the office daily provides you with direct access for questions and is known for his supportive leadership style.

**About You**

**Technical Foundation**:

- Basic SQL knowledge (SELECT, JOIN, WHERE clauses) - we'll help you develop these skills further
- Interest in data analysis and visualization

**Education**:

- Currently pursuing a Master's degree
- Previous internship experience is a plus but not required

**Learning Mindset**: Eager to learn about fintech and banking compliance

**Communication**: Communicate well among the teams and be proactive to reach out to different stakeholders to be able to solve problems

**Languages**: Professional fluency in English

**Additional Information**:
Location: hybrid in Paris (2 days remote per week)

Duration: 6 months

Start Date: As soon as possible
