**Financial Accountant**

The Group Financial Reporting Team is looking to grow the team with a Financial Reporting Accountant based in Paris who will work with the group finance team to help strengthen local reporting and compliance. This role will be reporting to the Group Financial Reporting Manager who is based in London.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Leading the completion of statutory accounts in line with local GAAP
- Working with external advisors in the completion of tax returns ensuring all filing deadlines are met
- Completion of VAT and other regulatory returns
- Working with the local HR team to ensure accurate recording of payroll in Netsuite
- Assisting in the month end process, ensuring accurate accounting records are maintained by completion of key account reconciliations
- Assisting the group finance team with both local and group audits
- Development and maintenance of local GAAP financial accounting/reporting policies, including assistance to roll out changes to policies, processes and systems.
- Working collaboratively with the wider finance team on non-business as usual project work

**About you**:

- Qualified accountant with 1-2 years post-qualified experience in industry
- Excellent technical knowledge of local GAAP
- Experience of preparing or auditing financial statements under local GAAP and experience of preparing VAT returns
- Fluent English, both spoken and written
- Highly motivated, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Experience working with an advanced ERP (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics etc.)
- Intermediate excel skills (pivot tables, Sumif, Index match etc.)
- Knowledge of IFRS and the key differences between local GAAP and IFRS
- Experience working in an in international group or at a top 10 accounting firm with international clients
