The Company’s core service lines are pest control and hygiene, together with a variety of other service lines that it clusters together and reports as “Protect and Enhance” businesses (e.g. France Workwear, Ambius Plants, UK Property Care etc). The main global brands are Rentokil, Initial and Ambius.
This newly created role will lead the implementation rollout and embedding of a Group SOX Program across Europe during an 18month contract working remotely with travel when required.
Main tasks
- Reporting to the Group Head of Internal control, Implement the Groups defined SOX program in the countries
- Execute all phases of SOX implementations to include, country scoping, risk assessment, walkthroughs, validation of process flows and RACMS with all necessary documentation
- Adapt a set of standard Group controls to the country and develop test procedures ensuring test results are appropriately documented and communicated
- Manage local country SOX implementers
- Coordinate with local external auditors to ensure alignment with the annual SOX testing plan
- Support the ongoing IT General Controls remediation plan with the country
- Implement the Groups communication strategy and materials to ensure a successful change management and education program within the country
**Requirements**:
Essential
- Must have led a SOX implementation before in Europe
- Qualified accountant, auditor, or operational risk specialist with deep experience of internal control frameworks and SOX methodologies
- A solid understanding of financial systems and technology
- Ability to engage with and influence senior stakeholders
- Experience of working in a multinational environment
Desirable
- Project Management skills and experience
- Change Management
- Understanding of COSO Framework
