**Job Description**:
Deezer is at an exciting stage of its development, with a very solid product, a strong position in its home market (France), several large B2B deals recently signed to open new markets (RTL in Germany and Sonos in the USA), and having recently listed on Euronext, Deezer has begun to execute its new strategy to deliver profitable growth, and has already secured the required funding to execute its plan.

In this context, we’re looking for the Chief Strategy Officer to assist the CEO and actively collaborate with the C-suite team and the Board to drive the corporate strategy with a specific focus on external growth and M&A.

**What you will do**

As a trusted partner to the CEO and management team, you will:

- Assess market segments in which we could expand in order to accelerate our growth and profit plans, including our ability to compete, leverage our asset base, and if needed, identify any external assets that we should partner with, JV with or buy.
- Drive strategic analysis of opportunities that arises
- Lead and execute M&A projects in collaboration with the relevant teams: investigation of potential targets, due diligence and valuation, potential integration
- Manage the Strategy and M&A team (~3 people)
- Support the CEO on strategic topics (Board presentations, manage the agenda for the weekly c-level meetings, adhoc analyses, etc)
- Identify risk in current strategy/business model and build proposals to reduce them.

**Qualifications**:
**This role is perfect for a person with**:

- 8+ years of experience in well-known international consulting firms (Project Leader or Junior Partner level)
- Good knowledge of the media and tech ecosystems
- Proven experience leading M&A analysis and projects
- Strong analytical skills
- Proven leadership by influence
- Experience managing a team
- Collaborative and team player
- Excellent oral and written communication in English, French a plus
- Demonstrated business acumen and strategic planning ability (excellent business education background). MBA from a top-school is a plus.
