**Context & Job description**
Le groupe Insertion Devices and Magnets est responsable de la conception, de l'assemblage, de la caractérisation et de l'exploitation des sources de rayons X ondulatoires et des aimants dans le complexe d'accélérateurs de l'ESRF.
L'équipe, composée de 11 ingénieurs et techniciens, a acquis une grande expérience dans la production et la mesure de systèmes magnétiques complexes.

Nous recrutons un chercheur post-doctoral spécialisé dans les dispositifs d'insertion et les aimants, possédant une solide formation en physique appliquée et en électromagnétisme, des connaissances en simulation de la technologie HTS et de très bonnes compétences en programmation, afin de soutenir le développement d'onduleurs innovants basés sur des rubans et des bulks HTS.

Les principales tâches seront les suivantes:

- Développement d'algorithmes et de modèles efficaces en termes de calcul pour les onduleurs basés sur la technologie HTS
- Support à la conception en effectuant des analyses électromagnétiques, mécaniques et thermiques
- Analyse de la perte de courant alternatif et des phénomènes de quench en fonctionnement normal et dans des conditions de défaillance.
- Vérification et validation des modèles au moyen de repères et de mesures.

**Expected profile**
- Doctorat en génie électrique ou en physique appliquée
- Une solide expérience en physique appliquée et en électromagnétisme est obligatoire.
- Une expérience dans la simulation des effets dynamiques dans les rubans HTS et/ou les bulks est obligatoire.
- De très bonnes compétences en programmation en Python et C/C++ sont requises.
- Une expérience des onduleurs, des aimants et des accélérateurs est un atout.
- Capacité à interagir de manière constructive avec des physiciens, des ingénieurs, des concepteurs et des techniciens.
- Maîtrise de l'anglais (langue de travail à l'ESRF)
