**Finance Manager - AES France**

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Financial Liaison and Reporting**:

- Act as the primary financial contact between AES Group and French operations.
- Prepare and present accurate financial reports for senior management.
- Ensure timely uploading of financial data into Tagetik.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, provide forecasts, and develop financial strategies.

**Regulatory Compliance and Accounting Management**:

- Ensure strict adherence to French financial regulations.
- Manage the preparation of statutory accounts and VAT returns.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including invoicing, payroll, and payments.
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.

**Budgeting and Financial Planning**:

- Lead the creation and monitoring of budgets for AES France.
- Monitor ongoing expenses against the budget, providing reports and analysis on variances.

**Execute Month-End Closing Processes**:

- Lead the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate closure of accounts.
- Review and reconcile ledger accounts, journal entries, and financial statements for accuracy.
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded in accordance with company policies and French regulations.
- Collaborate with the group finance team to address any discrepancies or issues arising during the closing process.
- Provide comprehensive financial reports post month-end closure to reflect the company's financial position accurately.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field or a master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) can also be adapted.

Minimum of 5 years of experience minimum in a finance management role, preferably within a similar industry.

Proficient in financial software and systems.

Strong understanding of French financial regulations and reporting requirements.

Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Fluent in English and French.

Contract length: 8 months

**Salary**: 36,000.00€ - 55,000.00€ per year
