**Context**
- The Social and environmental Responsibility is a major stake, it has a direct impact on the fame, on the performance of the NEXANS Group as it is an integral part of its economic model (E3) and its strategy. The RSE became a tool of management, communication, and development.
- The RSE aims at improving the environmental and social impact of the Nexans Group
- Currently, the environmental protection is at the heart of all the concerns. The emergency was connected to the global warming but also to the importance of the energy transition, the biodiversity conservation, resources are so many world key stakes. The RSE defines the environmental strategy of the group and makes sure that it is really implemented in various units business.
- The Group Nexans employs today 26 000 employees, and works with all the stakeholders, suppliers, customers, investors and communities. The RSE has a key-role to engage all these stakeholders around the stakes in health, safety, in ethics and in inclusion.

**Purpose**
The RSE Manager has a diverse range of responsibilities, including anticipating and addressing risks and opportunities related to the Group's RSE (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives. They are also responsible for staying up-to-date with statutory changes across all RSE domains and implementing them into the Group's operations. The Manager is also tasked with integrating RSE into the Group's overall strategy, monitoring actions taken by various units, and measuring their effectiveness while enhancing the company's reputation in all RSE aspects. Additionally, the RSE Manager fosters engagement among stakeholders such as employees, suppliers, and customers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and prevention.

**Global Challenges**:

As the gatekeeper of RSE (Corporate Social Responsibility) for the Nexans Group, the RSE Manager ensures that risks and opportunities are well-managed and under control. They work closely with the Group's risk management director to understand and evaluate risks, manage their measurements, and reduce them while identifying opportunities and their potential for the business. Additionally, the RSE Manager stays up-to-date with evolving standards and regulations, working with Nexans' sustainable development department to ensure compliance.
The Manager defines and implements the Group's RSE strategy, addressing key pillars such as societal issues (ethics, human rights, impacts on communities), environmental concerns (carbon, resources, substances, and biodiversity), and social factors (inclusion, diversity, health, and employee commitment). They work closely with business units to establish and execute these strategies and initiatives.

**Communication**:

The RSE Manager is responsible for developing both internal and external communication strategies and lobbying efforts. Internally, they provide practical guides, e-learning training programs, and awareness campaigns (such as Fresco) for employees, while externally, they inform customers, suppliers, and stakeholders about the Group's commitments and future actions through awareness campaigns.
Effective communication is essential to RSE, and the Manager must be skilled in both written and oral communication. They must be able to present information efficiently and effectivelyusing appropriate supports and media.
The Manager also coordinates the evaluation of RSE indicators, including through reporting RSE, the E3 tool, RSE scorecard, and URD. They are also responsible for liaising with extra-financial rating agencies for evaluations of Nexans, including completing ESG questionnaires and facilitating analyses.

**Stakeholder Management**:

The mandate is not limited to simply complying with legal obligations, but also to persuade stakeholders and commit to proactively protecting the environment across all aspects of the company. This requires providing tangible evidence to support the value of their approach, and analysing the competition and market to persuade the leadership team to embrace RSE as a means of distinguishing the company in the market and promoting
