Investment Financial Controller Intern

The SCOR Asset Owner Office is responsible for managing the invested assets of the SCOR Group. Within this office, the Investment Risk and Compliance team oversees market and credit risk, as well as compliance for the invested asset portfolios on behalf of the Group and its entities. This small, dynamic, and international team provides both ongoing risk monitoring and various ad hoc risk analyses.

The goal of this internship is to assist in enhancing compliance monitoring for SCOR Group and its subsidiaries. The intern will support ongoing risk management, compliance monitoring tasks, and ad hoc requests, with a particular focus on defining and developing monitoring tools for regulatory reports and aiding top management in their decision-making processes.

Under the supervision of the AOO investment risk controller:
**Guideline Monitoring**:

- Ensure portfolios adhere to compliance guidelines at both the Group and entity levels.
- Regularly review portfolio positions to confirm alignment with established rules.

**Compliance Reporting**:

- Participate in the preparation of weekly and quarterly compliance reports.
- Escalate any breaches to management to ensure awareness of anomalies.
- Collaborate with asset managers to implement timely remediation actions when necessary.

**Tool Enhancement**:

- Enhance the existing compliance monitoring tool (Power BI).
- Develop new tools, queries, and analyses, accompanied by detailed documentation.

**Sustainability Monitoring**:

- Monitor the implementation of sustainability policies and commitments within the investment portfolio.
- Assist in the production of ad-hoc analyses and reports related to sustainability efforts.

**External Reporting**:

- Assist in generating specific reports tailored for external stakeholders.
- Ensure reports meet the required standards and provide accurate, relevant information.

**Educational Background**:

- Final year of studies in economics or finance (Bac+4/5 preferred).

**Technical Skills**:

- Proficient in computing and coding, with experience in VBA, SQL, and Power BI.

**Financial Knowledge**:

- General understanding of financial markets.
- Interest in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and risk management.

**Language Proficiency**:

- Strong command of English, both written and spoken.

**Personal Attributes**:

- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and inquisitive.
- Capable of taking initiative and working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
