Engineering Manager

**Your role and responsibilities**:
The Process Automation Energy Industries Blending activity within ABB France focuses on automating blending processes in sectors such as chemicals, petrochemicals, and food processing. We develop tailor-made solutions that integrate control software, instrumentation, and online analysis to ensure the quality of finished products, regulatory compliance, and optimization of industrial performance. The Study Coordinator, based in Aix-les-Bains, supervises and coordinates technical studies (automa-tion, mechanical, general installation) throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include: - Leading the pre-project, execution, and commissioning phases in collaboration with internal teams and external partners;
- Ensuring compliance with contractual commitments in terms of quality, cost, deadlines, safety, and environment;
- Leading technical reviews, monitoring subcontractors, and participating in client acceptance processes;
- Managing the technical relationship with the client and providing support to site teams.

**Qualifications for the role**:

- A two
- or three-year technical degree (in automation, mechanics, electricity, instrumentation, or industrial IT) and at least 5 years of experience;
- A good command of English (reading, writing, speaking) and availability for travel within France and internationally;
- Proficiency in tools specific to the discipline: Smartplant 3D, SolidWorks, Microstation, indus-trial networks, instrumentation, low/medium voltage electricity;
- Personal qualities such as cross-functional leadership, customer orientation, collaboration, and intercultural sensitivity.
