Within this Department, you will be part of the Medical Underwriting team

At GUO we are ensuring the effective management of AXA’s medical, occupations, avocation, and strategic underwriting guidelines, which are essential for assessing and pricing insurance products. While overseeing the automated underwriting program, we support entities and promote technical excellence culture, with a particular focus:

- Medical Advancements

Conducting regular reviews of the underwriting guidelines to incorporate the latest medical advancements, treatment protocols, and emerging health trends, thereby ensuring the guidelines remain relevant and reflective of current medical knowledge.

**Your job and daily missions**:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join our Medical Underwriting team, who has a focus on underwriting process, data analytics and inclusive insurance. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the insurance industry, particularly in the field of medical underwriting and data analysis, while contributing to our commitment to inclusive insurance practices.

**Responsibilities**:

- Together with the Life & Health team further develop our business-strategic approach to retail underwriting
- Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain data monitoring tools and dashboards to support AXA entities conduct statistical analysis
- Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of inclusive insurance practices and policies, ensuring accessibility and equity in insurance offerings.
- Support the team in researching and analyzing industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to medical underwriting and inclusive insurance.
- Assist in project planning, status reporting, and coordination of project activities, ensuring alignment with timelines and objectives

**Votre profil**:

- Currently pursuing a degree in business administration, engineering, actuarial science, public health, or a related field.
- Initial understanding of insurance principles and an interest in inclusive insurance practices is a plus.
- Fluent in English

The job requires excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and multicultural teams. Ability to work to tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal communication skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude are essential for success in this internship role.
