Metallurgical Engineer

Intertek, a leading provider of ATIC (Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification) Services, for its Industry Services Division is looking for Desk Expeditor for a project mainly in Compiègne ,France.

We offer a contract as Consultant

**Poste**:
Realization of metallurgical expertise (including report writing) and implementation of non-destructive testing using the equipment made available in Client's laboratories and entrusting the suppliers referenced by the Customer with the necessary specific examinations (SEM, material characterization).

Management of metallurgical expertise and subcontracted metallurgical examinations with suppliers referenced by the Client.

**Profil**:
Experience in the field of steel pipes.

Strength of materials and metallurgy.

Fracture mechanics.

Welding techniques and metallurgy.

Non Destructive Testing Techniques.

Project management.

Corrosion, coatings and Cathodic Protection.

Numerical simulation of the behaviour of pipes and their accessories.

Knowledge of the applicable regulatory and/or normative texts (multi-fluid decree of March 5, 2015, GESIP guides relating to the Ministerial Decree, associated norms and standards, CODAP, CODETI).

Spirit of synthesis and writing skills

The person will be required to carry out certain examinations themselves which do not present any particular complexity in execution (in particular preparation of samples and micro and macro analyses, hardness)
