**Junior Energy Analyst (M/F) Energy analysis**

The team you will be joining: E&P Intelligence Team

The E&P Intelligence team is composed of Energy Analysts, Data Scientists and Data Engineers who work towards providing in-depth insights on the US Oil & Gas market. The product specifically focuses on the operators’ (also called E&Ps - for Exploration and Production) activity across the main US producing regions.

Our technology relies on the ingestion, processing and interpretation of thousands of satellite images, which are transitioned through a sophisticated pipeline using the most recent Big Data technologies. On top of the satellite imagery, the E&P Intelligence team integrates additional sources of information for the Artificial Intelligence algorithms trained to detect and identify the E&P’s operations on-site.

**Role**

The Energy Analyst position at Kayrros is an interdisciplinary role which combines market analytics and data science, with tasks as various as:

- Work with our Senior Energy Analysts to guarantee the quality and on-time delivery of our datasets to our customers
- Become familiar with all the technical steps of the data preparation process to identify underlying issues and take measures to fix them
- Improving the quality of our datasets by investigating recent trends in the industry and comparing them to our data outputs
- Explore new data sources (satellite, public datasets or alternative datasets) which could feed Kayrros technologies
- Investigate energy markets context to help data scientists build new product features
- Write content pieces that will be shared externally with Kayrros customers

You will document your results and research for internal purposes and external communication.

**Profile**

- You are dynamic, curious and eager to learn about energy markets, upstream and trading sector
- You have experience with Python for data analysis and can write reusable, testable and efficient code
- You can work in a fast-paced environment, within a multidisciplinary team
- You can communicate clearly in English, including with non-technical people
- You are willing to contribute actively and have a real impact on the company’s success
- Optional: experience with some components of our current stack: Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Pandas, APIs, etc.
