**Job Summary**: **The Opportunity** In this role, you will lead establishing and executing the strategic direction for our data platform architecture, data governance, and self-service capabilities. This leader will play a crucial role in transforming our organization's data capabilities and facilitating a culture of data-driven decision making. The position will collaborate with C-Level executives and key stakeholders to develop and improve our data-centric model **What we’re looking for** **Education**:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. A PhD will be a plus. **Experience**:8+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, data management, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role. Proven experience in managing and executing large scale data transformation projects. Experience in creating and implementing self-service data capabilities. Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, R, and visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI etc. Must have worked with large volume data sources from various on premise or cloud platforms such as SAP, SQL, Snowflake or similar.Expertise in data governance, including creating and managing a data catalog and ensuring data security. Proficiency in a variety of programming languages and tools relevant to data engineering (Python, SQL, Hadoop, Spark, etc.) Strong understanding of functional business processes in at least one of the following areas : Finance / Commercial / Supply Chain is a plus Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. **Collaboration Tool**: Strong understanding and hands-on experience with data architecture, databases, data modelling, and ETL tools. **How you will thrive and create an impact** - Establish, articulate, and champion a vision for our data platform strategy that supports the company's short-term and long-term objectives. - Provide leadership and direction to the data engineering team to design, build, and deploy data-driven systems and improve data processing capabilities. - Enable "Citizen Data Science" within the organization by establishing self-service analytics and data literacy programs. This includes creating user-friendly tools, training materials, and processes to empower non-technical employees to leverage data in their roles effectively.
