The objective of the Yacht Accountant is to manage a portfolio of yacht management clients, providing detailed monthly accounts including payroll, budgeting and assisting the captain with the financial operations of the yacht.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate accounts (numerically & categorised) to the owner /representative.
  • Arrange timely payment of invoices.
  • Communicate effectively with the captain and owner / representative.
  • Provide detailed fund requests.
  • Arrange timely payment of crew salaries.
  • Point of contact for owners / representatives/ owners' office & captains on all financial matters.
  • Prepare and issue monthly fund requests to owners or their representatives for upcoming expenses.
  • Arranging payments on behalf of the yacht.
  • Liaising with suppliers regarding invoicing to the yachts.
  • Liaising with the captain to ensure that they have sufficient cash / debit card funds to operate the yacht.
  • Provide detailed monthly accounts to the owner / representative.
  • APA management.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of working in a pressured environment, taking full responsibility for their workload, ability to demonstrate time management skills.
  • Previous experience within a numerical field.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Fluent English, both written & spoken.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Experience within the yachting industry, or a related field, is preferred.
